Welcome Baby Ermy!

By the time you are able to read and understand this birthday letter, I’m hoping we have cultivated a beautiful relationship. I will find a way to make sure of that.

Just so you know  . . .

You are a gift from God to your parents. 

Your parents and all who waited for you to be born are so very thankful for YOU!

Your mom and dad considered carefully what to name you. Giving you a name from both sides of your strong family is a legacy, a heritage they have the privilege to pass to you, the next generation. This is significant.  You will come to understand and appreciate this as a strong foundation for you and your children and your children’s children and so on . . . .

You have two wonderful people as parents.  I not only love them as family, but I like them as humans.  I can see them both in you.  I will look at one picture of you and I see your mom and in the next picture of you I see your dad.  But also, as you grow we will get to enjoy watching more of their legacies of love, kindness, generosity, intelligence, intellectual curiosity, creativity and forward thinking developed and exhibited in you!  

What’s equally exciting is that God has made you your own person.  You may be tiny now, but it is all in there!  And we have the joy of watching as you unfold and unwrap the gift that you are.  You will bring your own unique blend of love, kindness, generosity, intelligence, intellectual curiosity, creativity and forward thinking and so many more good things to the world.  I believe you will find what you are passionate about at an early adult age. I believe you are destined to do great things with those great loves to make a positive impact on Earth and to influence your generation and those that follow.

You are fortunate to also have loving grandparents AND great-grandparents. Not an hour passes that they aren’t imagining what you are doing.  And you have so many other family members like me!
